True Friend Supported Independent Living
True Friend is a registered charity created by a group of friends and family of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We want to fulfill their wish and basic need to live and thrive in their own community.
Our Mission
To provide an affordable small group home facility and care services to ensure the lifelong well-being of adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The success of this pilot project will be followed by additional small group homes to meet the need in more communities.
Latest Updates
The True Friend non-profit corporation came into being on May 3rd, 2024. True Friend received CRA approval as a registered charity as of January 2025.
